About MonkeyQuest:

The MonkeyQuest AddOn for World of Warcraft displays quests and their objectives in a nice dragable frame. There are a lot more features than just that, so be sure to read the very long feature list. Or you know, just download it (and MonkeyBuddy!).

Features:

· Option to play a sound for completed objectives
· Mousing over quests shows the overview in a tooltip
· Option to display the quest overview if there's no objectives
· Clicking on quests brings up the real quest log with that quest selected
· Displays the quest level & type in the quest title
· Completed quests show a "(done)" in the quest title
· Quest area headers are displayed
· Clicking on a quest area header collapses or expands it
· Option to always hide quest area headers
· Option to hide collapsed quest area headers
· Check boxes next to quests allow hiding/showing of that quest
· Check box to toggle displaying hidden items
· Close and minimize buttons
· Quest objective coloring for different progression levels
· Quest objective coloring for special "friendly/hostile" type objectives

· If the current sub-zone name appears in the quest overview, the quest will highlight
· Integration with MonkeyBuddy for configuration

That's already fixed in v2.9.3, but I'm currently not able to upload it here.
Try to get the latest version from Curse:

As of the new patch released 08/04/2009, MonkeyQuest (specifically... I tunred off all mods and applied one by one...) is causing my framerate to drop from 60 to 10. Hopefully this can be fixed... I Love this mod.

The main part of the mods is the tracker replacement, but there is also a folder called MonkeyQuestLog. Its a simple quest log replacement, which can be opened by clicking on a quest in the MonkeyQuest tracker, it won't change the Blizzard Quest Log (key L) in any way, so you can use other addons like Lightheaded. If you want to open the Blizzard Quest Log by clicking on a quest in the MonkeyQuest tracker, you can easily delete the MonkeyQuestLog folder.

i am new to the monkey mods. i just want to know if this is a Quest Log replacement or a tracker replacement that i can still sue a Quest log replacement like Quest Guru?

I will most likely add an option to change the title color, wotlk blue isn't a color everybody prefers.

And fixed size with scrollbar is something which will come with MonkeyQuest v3.0.

When I mouseover some of the Outland quests, I receive the following error:
MonkeyQuest.lua:1362: attempt to concatenate local 'strQuestTag' (a nil value)

I wish MonkeyQuest would have an option to save its settings in a Default profile instead of the character based profiles even though it already saves these into the account based SavedVariables. So that it either saves an account based Default profile like ["Default"] instead of the ["Character|Realm"] type as it is now, or save them in the character based SavedVariables (called SavedVariablesPerCharacter in the .toc).
Same goes for MonkeyBuddy and MonkeyClock.

Excellent, excellent mod. Any way for the "work complete" sound to ding when you have the window minimized?

Edit: also mob tracking as well?

I can't reproduce this. You can try to disable every other addon you use and can take a look at the issue again. Maybe there is a conflict and you could figure out which addon doesn't play nicely with MonkeyQuest.

Great mod but having a problem that just turned up. Usually in my quest log i only have zone i'm questing in open as to only show those quests. Now it seems that anytime i do any part of the quest say kill these mobs as soon as i kill just 1 it opens up all the quests in all the zones. I can close it and once i kill or anything to do with that quest again it opens up all the zones and all the quests. I deleted my save var. for all the monkey stuff but it's still going on. It never did this before.

Love your mods, keep up the good work!

I do have one suggestion though: Any chance of adding MobMap support to the Monkey quest Log and/or Monkey quest itself? Maybe in the form of clicking on an objective or on an icon by an objective would open up MobMap with what you selected?

I believe nQuestLog has something like this, but I prefer MQuest overall =)

This is a silly request but one that I think would add character to the audio. I know you added the "Work Complete" voice from the orc peons in Warcraft 2. My idea would have MQ see if you are Alliance or Horde and if you are Horde keep it as it is now but if you are Alliance instead play the "Job's Done" sound from the Human Peons from Warcraft 2. Just a thought :).
