What is Karma?
Karma is a tool for helping keep track of people you meet in WoW, letting you write notes and give/remove karma to them. It also tracks the following about each person automatically:
· Amount of Experience gained while grouped with them
· Amount of Time played with them
· Quests which they have helped you with
The Karma setting is a value which represents your impression of other characters. Green is good, blue is neutral, red is unliked. By default everyone starts at blue, and you determine if they deserve more or less karma.
What can I do with it?
Karma can be used to help track those people encountered in the game, primarily those you group with, but you can also manually add people, handy most especially for really annoying people you'd like to ignore.
The Karma bar can have points added when someone does something nice/good, and points removed when they do mean/abusive/stupid things. Examples would be if a wandering Druid heals and buffs me as they run past, I might give them some karma, while someone who keeps sending me guild invites without asking me first would get karma removed.
Karma is also useful as a means of a global friends/ignore list. It remembers people you've met, regardless of which character you choose to play (obviously only on a per server basis). It will also you allow you to ignore people regardless of which character you are playing on. Trades/Invites/Duels will all be automatically canceled and/or ignored for you, as well as the normal chat ignore feature.
How do I use it?
You can bind a key to toggle the Karma window, or you can open it with /karma window. This window will show you all people you've grouped with (since the mod was installed of course), and clicking on them will show how long you've played with them, how much xp you've gained while grouped, and which areas were explored together and quests completed with them. You can also adjust their karma, and add notes about them.
Right clicking on a person's picture will let you add or remove Karma to/from them.
Commonly used commands
· /karma window - This toggles the karma window.
· /karma addmember <name> - Adds a person to your list with normal karma.
· /karma addignore <name> - Adds a person with zero karma, and ignores them if you have that option set.

Can we see an update on this?
Or a suggestion for an alternative?

Can you please add Fubar support, or at least add the option to hide the minimap button?

Very good addon, thanks

Experiencing the same bug as Annibel, I've found out that either moving Karma's button or the minimap changes size and shape of the button's actual focus/anchor, causing the latter to get so small that it disappears, especially when moving either of them towards the lower right corner and that's where my minimap is. Using the add-on simpleMinimap, which allows me to move the minimap, I've tried to get the button in place and the focus/anchor to fit the size and shape of it at the same time, but it wouldn't exactly work, because that only seems to be the case when then button is attached to the minimap in certain places, and the button doesn't snap back to the minimap at the position I'd expect it to which kind of impedes my efforts. I wonder why anyone would separate the button from its anchor in respects of size/shape/zoom (whatever is causing this), but that makes it hard to use the button with an add-on-modified minimap, especially when it's been moved.
Currently, Karma's minimap button is the only one I know being affected in this way.
An update or fix would be nice.

I'm having an odd bug that makes the Karma button on the minimap useless. I can't move it, clicking on it doesn't do anything. Is there a command for me to unlock it?

Fantastic add-on - I'm enjoying it immensely (and threw a donation your way.)A feature request - is it possible to add alternate names? I'd like to be able to track alts for folks, as "karma" tends to attach itself to the player, not just that character. ;-)
Update: Never mind, silly question. The /karma addmember command works well for that purpose. Only drawback is that the person has to be online for the member to be added, but that's not a big deal.

Hmm, never used Guild Event Manager... I'll download it and take a look at what it's doing. I'm not turning on any extra channels, so GEM must be doing something secret behind the scenes to hide stuff.

seems to transform messages from Guild Event Manager that the normally hidden messages (separate channel) are spamming the chat window. Is it possible to ignore some channels?

I came across a rude player earlier who "stole" my mobs. then I remembered that I just installed this addon... karma -- heheh :)
too bad I didnt find this mod earlier, however, thanks for making it!

I believe there are one or two other mods that simply let you add notes, but you can just as easily use this and ignore the rating side of things and just add your notes.
I like the idea of this - i'm wondering if there is a simplfied version of this; maybe just have the ability to put notes. I don't care about any rating system. My problem is I sometimes forget who is actually the person playing; especially when each player has 4+ toons.

Neither's WinZip. Personally I find 7-Zip the best, but tend to use RAR for compatibility and ease of use.
They don't like rar archives here. Never have. Prolly on account of the fact that WinRAR's not free, I imagine...
Hmm, that's most odd... this stupid web site has gone and renamed my rar archive and made it appear to be a zip archive... This site really has gone downhill :(
If you use winrar you'll still be able to open it, but to avoid confusion I'll go with the lesser format and upload a zip.

The Zip file is corrupt and cannot be opened.

Finally did another update, just rolled in some minor tweaks, and updated the TOC version.
