Integrated PopBar v3.08 (24 December 2009)
For Live Servers v3.3.0.11159
(r80 on wowace)
By Xinhuan
Inspired by PopBar, this mod integrates the fundamental aspect of PopBar into the menu bar itself, toggleable between the Bag Buttons and 3 extra rows of buttons.
This AddOn is not designed to be draggable or movable and is not as customizable as some of the other additional toolbar addons. This AddOn is completely standalone and is not dependent on any other AddOn.
The design of this addon is based on the fact that many players use the hotkeys to open all their bags: Shift-B. You can rebind B to also open all your bags, or use F8-F12 for each individual bag. Hence, there is no real reason for the bag buttons to be displayed at all most of the time.
Similarly, all the interface has shortcuts, L for quest log, O for guild list, C for character, U for reputation, K for skills, P for spells, N for talents, etc. You don't actually need those bag or microbuttons, which is what this mod has in mind when being designed. Your playing mode should mostly be in the "Ipopbar" mode rather than the "bag mode".
===========================
Screenshot explanation:
Hovering the mouse over the Action Bar Page Number, I've made it clickable (in the picture, I've bounded it to "Y") to toggle between the Menu and IPopBar. The Action Bar Page Number text here is now colored according to your latency (green (under 300ms), yellow (under 600 ms) or red): (Screenshot 1)
Click! The menu bar and bag buttons are now replaced by IPopBar! It displays 11 icons hotkeys that are boundable in the Key Bindings: (Screenshot 2)
Hovering the mouse over the IPopBar (bottom, Row 1) will cause an additional row of toolbar to appear. Over here, my mouse is on the Tauren War Stomp ability: (Screenshot 3)
===========================
Commands:
/ipopbar : Shows help on available commands.
/ipopbar rows X : Use X rows of buttons. X can be 1, 2 or 3.
/ipopbar togglecombat : Automatically switch to bar mode on entering combat.
/ipopbar scale X : Scale the main menu bar. X can be between 0.5 and 2.0.
/ipopbar endcaps : Show/hide the dragon end caps on the main menu bar.
/ipopbar rowXstartID Y : Set the starting action ID of row X to action ID Y. X can be 1, 2, or 3; Y can be between 1 and 110.
/ipopbar resetstartID : Resets the starting action IDs of all the rows to the defaults.
If you have Ace3 core libraries installed, then typing /ipopbar will instead open the Ace3 configuration screen for IPopBar.
===========================
Quirks:
If you loot an item, the normal animation of the item that goes into the bag doesn't display, until you toggle to the bags.

- REMOVED: The options combatshow and combathide are removed since the popup rows are now able to shown/hidden while in combat.
v1.08b (from v1.08) (21st December 2006)
- Written for TBC beta v2.0.3.6244. TOC number updated to 20003.
- Players on live realms should still use v1.08 (although this version should also work on live realms if you change the TOC back to 20000).

- FIXED: Changed the framestrata of buttons to HIGH so that the popup row(s) of buttons will appear above the Blizzard bottom right action bar buttons (if they are enabled).
- FIXED: Moved the Blizzard action bar page number slightly to the right, so that it now looks centered on the latency meter.

- CHANGED: For warriors, changed the bottom row of actionbutton IDs from 61-72 (which was default action bar 5) to 1-12 (which are unused by warriors). This means you need to reassign this one row of actions, but you gain an otherwise unused set of button IDs.
- NEW: Increased the number of maximum number of rows by 1 (from 2 rows to 3 rows).
- NEW: The 3rd row of buttons that are added can be shown with /ipopbar threerow. For druids and warriors they default to actionbutton IDs 49-60 which corresponds to Blizzard's default bottomright bar (or default action bar 5). For the rest, they use actionbutton IDs 85-96.

- FIXED: Fixed a bug with buttonframes showing/hiding when picking up an item/spell on the cursor.
- FIXED: Fixed a bug with hotkeys not being updated properly on the buttons when a button becomes unbinded (a display issue). This is inherently a bug/flaw in Blizzard's base UI code as well, which I have reported.

Is it just me or does this most recent version look a bit like the request i made years ago..?

Try v3.0.5. You can thank Blizzard for breaking addons every patch.

Since the update today, my integrated popbar isn't working. I've tried reinstalling it multiple times but it still doesn't work. It shows up in the interface mods tab before you log into a character, but after you enter the game with a character it isn't there and I type /ipopbar and it gives me the blizzard message, "type /help for help". Any ideas on how to fix it?

Rebjorn, this addon does not attempt to hide or move them. You have another addon doing it.

Hello,
I really like this mod but I have a question;
Why does the mod hide the right hand side actionbars? I'd like to know if this can be prevented via a command or something.
I'm not interested in hiding those - I find myself having to go to the default Interface--Action Bars thing in Menu and disable/enable them in order to make them show up again sometimes.

Thanks a lot, Xinhuan; I've missed this lovely little mod since 3.0 came out. So glad it's back.

Oglock, what is the error message?
UPDATE:
Trouble is only on Windows. 2.03 works fine on Mac.
-----------
FYI, I've reverted to v1.15 because the newer versions has some odd loading behavior. With the 2.x releases installed, every time I load a character and the UI comes up, the three layers of IPopBar are displayed open even though I've specified to only use one row. If I roll the mouse over the bottom row, they all collapse and send a "global error" to the chat box. Everything else works fine but that error is annoying.

Wonderful - Thank you!

Hi nailstj, your request is doable, fairly easily. Give me a few days to add the configuration for it. :)

This is a wonderful addon - thank you for creating and maintaining it. I have a suggestion - would it be possible to code in a delay or a keypress option to the bars that pop up (bars 2 and 3) hidden until the delay or the keypress option is met? I use the default Blizzard bottom right action bar and often first accidentally mouse over ipopbar keeping me from getting to the default bar fast. Again, great mod and thanks for your time.

Don't think it is something I can help. You should post on Skinner's thread on wowace forums and ask Jncl to look into it.
Ok, I found the problem. Skinner and popbar dont play well together. If you skin the main bar in skinner the lag meter will crawl up the screen when you switch from bags to bars. Is there anyway you can fix this or is this a skinner problem? Or is it a combination of them both trying to work together. The problem only exist when both mods are installed together.
Thank you again for a great mod.

lag meter keeps moving as bar changes from bags to buttons.

Thats ok, I know your real busy with all the ace3 mods you have been writing, I thank you for all your efforts. Your mods rock btw. I use most of them.

Nakawe, the version on the branches has been deleted, as I have moved it to trunk. Sorry for the slow response, I have updated the version here to fix the errors you have reported, and also updated the trunk on wowace.

What happened to the ace3 version off of branches? Last version I had, had a bug and tried to update via svn and POOF its gone. Actually I get this error from version here too. It happens when I enter combat with auto change to Ipopbar on.[2008/02/08 11:05:29-1-x1]: IPopBar\IPopBar.lua:341: attempt to call global 'IPopBar_Show' (a nil value)
Ok 3 mods enabled, bug grabber, bug sack and Ipopbar. I got 2 errors. First error was from typing Ipopbar in chat and second was combat error, this was after I nuked my wtf folder

Is this mod support keybinding? (zhi chi kuai jie jian ma?)
You should bug the author of DrDamage, because DrDamage supports many other addon bars and many of them also have this problem.
The IPopBar on the branches is fully working now, and is not dependant on Ace3. However, it will use Ace3 config dialogs if Ace3 is installed. The branches version allows you to set the action IDs on your bars arbitrarily, and also fixed the keybindings system in the keybinds menu, and will also no longer error when attempting to move spells in combat. Also added settings to scale the bars and remove the endcaps.
The plan is to release this when Ace3 enters Beta, which should be fairly soon (could be within the week).

excellent, thanks for investigating! If possible, could IPopBar automatically set this option in DrDamage, since you would always use the blizzard AB's when using this addon. Or should i bug the author of DrDamage to modify it so it doesn't consider IPopBar as an AB replacement?
I noticed the IPopBar in branches and look forward to trying it out, although this one does everything i need!

xbeeps: Investigation is complete. This is not a fault of IPopBar. To make DrDamage display numbers on your regular Blizzard action bar buttons, find the option in DrDamage called "Support for Blizzard AB even with other AB addons running" and turn it on.
This option is found in "DrDamage -> General" if you use a GUI dropdown menu such as the one displayed when you right click on the FuBar plugin, or if you use a Rock addon and use the Addon Preferences config menu to reach DrDamage. Or you can type "/drdmg General BlizzardAB" to toggle this option on and off.
--------
In other news, I have rewritten IPopBar, with Ace3 support. This will be released soon, once I confirm that there are no bugs/issues or when Ace3 goes on RC1 (release candidate 1) status.

no, youve moved the latency bar.
ok start again..
with the mod off, you have the 12 buttons, the arrows, the number, the menu bar, the latency bar and then the keyring. then, bags.
with the mod on, you have 12 buttons arrows the latency bar, the menu bar, a black gap, thern the bags.
what im saying is, can you make it so that the interface is not changed when the bar is not present?
and when you click the number next to the arrows, that makes popbar appear.
understand?

IPopBar prevents DrDamage from showing number on the regular action buttons. If I disable IPopBar the numbers are there. Don't know if this is a taint-issue or perhaps a broken hook-chain?
Hi Xinhuan,
I'm currently trying to get the original Popbar running, but I'm stuck on a really stupid problem... would you be so nice and have a look?
http://wowui.incgamers.com/?p=mod&m=6146
thanks alot!
The number next to the arrows is already the popbar clicky (the latency bar to be exact).
I have a small suggestion.
With regards to the changes of the normal interface bar, such as no keyring and a longer set of menu icons, what you could do is keep the normal interfae bar the same, and make the number next to the arrows for the action bar the popbar clicky.
Just a small suggestion.

Elsu, this problem cannot be avoided. The default UI gives us 120 buttons split into 10 bars. The first 6 are normally accessible to us. The 7th-10th are used by different stances/forms for the rogue/druid/warrior classes.
IPopBar uses the available bars not used by stances/forms first, for its first 2 rows, but for the druid/warrior classes, the 3rd row will overlap with one of the stances/forms. This isn't an issue for rogues because they only have 1 stance - Stealth, so IPopBar can still use the other 3.
As for the keybindings not appearing in the menu, ever since Blizzard changed their securetemplates system in patch 2.0, this issue cannot be avoided unless I write an elaborate UI/GUI to perform the keybinds such as in other popular bar addons. I do not wish to do that, so it is just a minor annoyance.
I like this mod and I like being able to bind keys to the buttons and still use them when the bars are hidden, although it is a bit awkward that the key binds do not appear in the Key Bindings menu.
I am having a problem with the third bar using the buttons on the Bottom Right ActionBar on my Druid and Warrior characters. I have two accounts that I play from different computers and the problem exists on both. I do not have this problem with the Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Shaman, or Warlock characters.
