I'm not the author of MobInfo2.
The author of Mobinfo is Skeeve.

DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP YOUR OWN FILE FIRST THAT IS ON YOUR SAVED VARIABLES FOLDER.

Quoting Skeeve:
Hi everyone,

Just now I discovered this nice new service. I'd like to add something to what ntex said:

To import Mob data PLEASE read and use the instructions from the MobInfo ReadMe.txt. Thats quite important and avoids accidental loss of data or file corruption. You will also find in there instructions on how to backup your current MobInfo database file before importing the new data.

Also please note that MobInfo data files are language specific and can NOT be mixed between languages. I assume that this particular download is for the English WoW (ntex correct me if I'm wrong). Therefore this should be downloaded and used for the English WoW ONLY ! Using it with any other language version of WoW will not work.

Other then that: Enjoy MobInfo,
Skeeve

INSTRUCTIONS (Extracted from Readme.txt):
Here are the detailed import instructions:

* Close your WoW client
* Backup your MobInfo database as explained above
* Extract the file to 'World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/'
* So in the end you must have the file in: 'World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/MobInfo2/MI2_Import.lua'
* Start WoW and login with one of your chars
* Open the MobInfo options (enter '/mi2' at the chat prompt) and go to the 'Database' options page. Near the bottom of the page you should now see whether the AddOn has found valid data to be imported. If you did everything correctly the 'Import' button should be clickable.
* Choose whether you want to import only unknown Mobs, otherwise all Mobs will get imported. If a Mob already exists in your database and you choose to import it the data of the new Mob will get added to the data of the existing Mob. Now click the Import button to star the database import operation. In your normal chat window you will see a summary of the import results.
* Logout to cause WoW to save your now extended MobInfo database file. You should now delete the file 'MI2_Import.lua'. It is no longer needed and it will waste memory as long as it exists.

TIP1: Use the 'import only unknown Mobs' if you know that there is a large amount of overlap between your current database and the imported database. For instance if you import data from the same source again (because he released a newer version).

TIP2: You can also use this Import feature to import databases of the 'MobHealth' AddOn. Use the instructions exactly as listed above, but in step 2 rename 'MobHealth.lua' (the MobHealth database file from 'savedvariables' folder) to 'MI2_Import.lua'.

Any bugs or hints regarding to the data, just say anything here.

THIS VERSION IS FOR ENGLISH CLIENTS!

Patch notes for Mobinfo Database
[2008.11.27]

Nothing special to add, lately don't have much time to play WoW and coding at the same time and RL stuff :

Also this DB is after use the "cleaning" option, I had some pretty old data recorded that had to be cleaned up.
I'm still trying to figure out, why the hell the Wild Eleks of Nagrand, and the Elite Ogres near Shattrath - Barrier Hills have broken their value, because that value of gold it's impossible.

It works for me, although it's a shame all the mobs and loot in this database are already in this database: http://wowui.worldofwar.net/?p=mod&m=4056 Good work nevertheless!

Perhaps u should check which MobInfo version are u using? It's latest? Besides every addon that have this capability do this based on dmg / percentage recorded, a few mobs bugs sometimes. I have some mobs that don't display never his HP's, even I deleted this targeted mob data and try to recorded again and when the patch 2.3 was released on some mobs, values arent accurate until u deal damage to re-updated since most mobs of Azeroth between 20-60 were retuned. (Ex: Duskwing of Eastern Plaguelands) Also the purpose is that u have DPS / Loot Table saved, mostly that not the HP's since sometimes they fluctuate a bit, I think you should try harder, besides this is only my Database, not really the addon, the Author of MobInfo it's Skeeve :) So you should post this on his thread and surely he will explain u better then me.

I uses one of these one time... Never again, they are one hit wonders.. Meaning they hit the mob once and get hitpoints from it.. there always wrong, Got one that said mob had 1456 hitpoints after killing this mob it had 35 hitpoints..?
