GuildBanker is a simple but powerful add-on to help guilds maintain a bank in World of Warcraft. It includes an in-game add-on with a drag-and-drop interface, for tracking items and guildmember bank funds, and a Windows application for publishing an HTML or plain text report of the bank status.

If you liked this add-on and want development to continue, please consider making a small donation to the author through the add-on listing for GuildBanker at http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=3900

GuildBanker now features silent guild add-on channel support for the GuildBankAccount add-on which allows guildmembers to see the contents of the guild's bank!

Please keep in mind that GuildBanker is designed for a specific type of guild bank. In this approach to guild banking, members can donate items to the guild's bank and receive guild credit for each deposit based on the worth of that item. They can then spend that credit by requesting other items from the bank, usually through in-game mail to the banker. Each type of item can have a different value but multiple instances of a single item all have the same value. Since the value of the item may change with the market, the value of each item is given a weighted average based on value of in-stock items versus the new value, based on banker input or Auctioneer pricing. GuildBanker does not support free items or items worth less than 1 silver each as we have found that keeping track of such trivial items puts an unfair burden on the banker.

It is not possible for one add-on to meet the needs of every possible approach to banking. If your guild does not use this approach to banking, this is the wrong add-on for you.

To install:

Unzip this folder to the 'C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddons' folder on your computer. If you installed World of Warcraft to another location, unzip there instead.

You should wind up with all of the files in the 'C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddonsGuildBanker' folder.

Past users of GuildBanker please note: Now that GuildBanker.exe is in the GuildBanker folder, don't forget to delete the old version that was in the 'C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraft' folder.

How to use the Add-On

To open the GuildBanker interface, simply type '/guildbanker' or '/gbank' or '/gb'

To record a deposited item, open the 'Stock' panel and drag the item into the box on the top-left. Then enter the appropriate information in the panel below and click 'Deposit'.
If you have Auctioneer installed, the initial unit value will be the median buyout for that item. If that item is already in your bank at a different value, GuildBanker will calculate a new unit value based on an average of the two values.

To record a deposited item which you do not have in your inventory (usually because it's on another character), type '/guildbankdeposit ' where is a shift-click link of them item to deposit. You can also type '/gbankdeposit' or '/gbdeposit'.

To edit data about an item in the bank, select the item in the list, then edit the information in the panel on the left and click 'Update'.

To record a withdrawal from the bank, select the item in the list, then click the 'Withdraw' button at the bottom and fill in the information on the left. Then click the 'Withdraw' button on the left to confirm the withdrawal.

To split a single entry from the stock into two entries so that you can record their locations on two different accounts, select the item, click the 'Split' button at the bottom, then choose the amount to split off.

To collapse multiple entries of an item into a single entry, select the item in the list and click the 'Collapse' button at the bottom.

To deposit, withdraw, or edit the funds for a guildmember, open the 'Accounts' panel, select the guildmember, then edit the information on the left and click 'Update'.

If you need to transfer all the data to another player so that they can take over the banking duties, make sure that player has GuildBanker installed, then select the 'Options' button in GuildBanker and enter their name beside the 'Broadcast' button and press 'Broadcast'. The broadcast may take a few minutes depending on the amount of data.

If your guildmembers are using the GuildBankAccount add-on, they will be able to see the contents of the guild's bank. This data will be transmitted over the new silent add-on channel when the guild banker first logs on. After that, the data will continue to be available as long as a guildmember with GuildBankAccount installed is still in the game. GuildBankAccount does not store any data so the stock that guildmembers see will always be up to date. Please keep in mind that how well this feature will work depends on how many of your guildmembers are using GuildBankAccount.

Because GuildBanker uses the silent add-on channel to transmit data, only one guildmember should be using the GuildBanker add-on in channel-support mode. If a second member is using GuildBanker to track some other data, please make sure they turn off channel-support mode in the GuildBanker options.

To completely delete all GuildBanker data, type '/guildbankclear' or '/gbankclear' or '/gbclear'.

How to use the Windows Application

The Windows application GuildBanker.exe will read the data you have tracked through the add-on and produce HTML code or plain text which you can post on your guild website or e-mail.

There are several options you can select to determine the type of data to include in the output.

Copy and paste the data from the application to your website.

Werda, I'm actually trying to fix GuildBanker, it's "in progress" ;) I'll put it here as Guild Banker (Fan's Update) if it works well.

First, thanks for a great mod. It's really helped keep our guild bank running smoothly for many months now! One thing that would be really nice would be to add a way to ID which toons are considered guild bankers, and match the GuildBanker inventory to the bag/bank inventory of those toons. This could be an option which, if checked, would override the current/default behavior. I'm actually using DuckieBank right now for inventory control, and using GuildBanker to track guild member credit balance thru item deposits & withdrawals. I'd LOVE to use just one mod. :)

Any chance this will be updated in a way that would allow me to use the now built in guild bank alongside the credit system? Perhaps a way to use the logs and auctioneer data to determine credit (if enabled) and support for multiple item mails.I loved this addon while it worked. The credit system is what I need for my guild the most.

the other thing about guildbanker is that it won't work with auctioneer5/advanced...the files that GB uses are different in the new auctioneer a little something to keep in mind

You know I turned off every addon but the auctioneer I was using, since we NEED that for pricing. After seeing your post ornament I thought, what the heck I'll give it another shot. I turned off the auction addon, as well as everything else. Sure enough, perfectly working Guild Banker. Reason - I THOUGHT it was 2.2 patch, but when I was upgrading, I went with Auctioneer Advanced (by the same developers). Didn't even think about the fact I upgraded it. Great program BUT guild banker definitely does not like it! Switched to the current version of the standard Auctioneer, works perfect. Thank you ornament, your post made me re-think. I should have done that in the first place, but I was thinking it HAD to work with auctioneer, so I overlooked it. BTW before GB was overlapping the mailbox, but somehow now it's working properly and shifting to the left to view both bank and mail. No clue why, but it does help. Now if we can just get someone to add sell to vendor price (with multiplier), I would be a very happy girl. lol Thank you again ornament!

my guildbanker works quite well...if it is crashing at the mailbox it's because of another addon that's running...this is still by far the best banking addon out there http://www.underground-kingdom.net/home/guildbank.asp

There was another website that "claimed" this was updated, when I got it and tested it, I found it was nothing more than this current version here. I'm highly suspicious that they were merely attempting to update the TOC file. It is unfortunate that blizzard has no clue when they will release their version of a guild bank, but I think developers of the addons were anticipating it would be here. So now we all sit and wait I guess. Our guild has posted that we'd make a fair donation to developers for guild bank update with vendor sell/buy price options, and another guild related addon. Unfortunately none have accepted the offer.

Tankgirl So is there an update available or not?
artemisthemp, I mentioned that a month ago. Our guild would have made a nice donation, for such a feature, and an updated version. But apparently no-one cares about money anymore either lol

Cued be nice if you may include this feature in next version :-) see Auctioneer vendor buy/sell price option with multiplier? Specifically sell to vendor price x2 as an option for default pricing of items.

There is currently a NEW version updated for 2.2.2, but not here YET.. Nevermind, apparently they just get the addon from here. it's for 2.2.0 which no longer works as of 2.2.2. Causes game crash at mailbox, and who knows what else. Looks like we all are just going to have to bite the bullet and get a new bank system since this one seems to be lost.

HELP!!! Ever since the update on 09/25/2007 guild banker won't work! This is an awesome mod please help.

I think this is a great addon, but when I load the game I get an error (same as tankgirl) and maybe you should change it so when someone adds money, it adds the real amount of money, because if you donate less than 1 gold, it says [player] has donated 0.00 gold. I think maybe it should say something like #g #s #c.

I would pay to have this pull price data from "sell to" vendor price and a multiplier option. such as sell to vendor x2, and remember my preference so that all deposits after that will be sell to vendor price x2, unless it is changed. A very minor addition I would like to see is for the export. An addition of optional code for java tip tool use, and display icon from a wow iconpack. Very happy with this addon and doubt I'd ever switch to another banking system. This one is far too powerful to let go.
