I have an idea that may or may not be possible. How bout attempting to show approximate location of the player on an instance map. This may 'could' be implemented by monitoring how long the arrow keys are pressed and or how long auto run is used. The position 'could' maybe be resynchronized when the player targets a known mob or boss that is only in certain locations in the instance. This would be greatly helpful in complex instances. Maybe this could even sync with other players that have the mod and or party spotter to show their approx location too. Also, could be helpful to add path arrows for sections that cross under or over other sections of the instance. This would map harder to navigate instances with many crossing tunnels and areas that drop up or down into another level of the dungeon. Don't know if these options are really possible but just an idea. 8)

i get errors like that, i usualy remove that particular one. i.e. if it says error with bla...bla cart_routes\... bla i remove the routes one log back in and no error. there all seperate addons just in one download to make it easyer.

BTW, the message occurs on the start of each character initial load.

I get the same message as Danuke, but it occurs when the window refreshes between Zep. runs. In addition, I keep getting the following error: .\addons\Cartographer_stats\Cartographer_stats.lua:3: Cannot find a library instance of Tourist-2.0. This error occurs each time I delete the entire Cartographer directory and re-install. Hope this helps.

When flying to the Isle of Quel'Danas, I got an in game message that said that Cartographer_Routes is no longer being maintained and to delete it and replace it with Routes. I can't find the Routes Add-on. It in two parts and ended <Profs> (is that the author perhaps?). I tried looking on several UI websites for Routes and the searches were no joy. Any ideas? Also a lot of the Carts add-on files/Dirs are listed as out of date.

Has anyone notice that there seems to be revsion miss matches? The download comes with newer libs but some of the lua files I have looked at are trying to load older ones. I am not familiar the lua language so when I tried to change the version numbers it didn't seem to do anything but say it couldn't find the new version lib. :)

This needs an endless list of additional Lib* packages. How about releasing a pack that actually comes with all needed Libs? I'm having trouble after the 2.4.2 patch with the nil value for cooper error. Can you fix this please? I read about this issue and found out that the cooper variable and others had changed to VALUE_COOPER or smth. Thanks

I went so far as to delete all my addons and just try cartographer. It's just not working. I see it in my addons at character selection but in game i get nothing at all.

Since you last patched this just doesn't work anymore at all. Updated all the dependencies, nothing. It just quit working. It worked fine for me on the last version. I just logged in today and saw that it had been updated, downloaded, and I have nothing at all like the mod isn't even installed.

Ok to get the new updated mod to work i had to reset all my wow settings using the wow repair utility then reinstall cartographer and now it works perfect. thanks for your help.

@Q000 I don't know changes at the database. My private Cartographer_QuestObjectives.lua (SavedVariables) got an size from 8,5MB. Yours is bigger? U can't do anything wrong with the last update ;) Extract the archiv in ur addon-dir and start wow. Thats all.

I'm using your last Cartographer pack (CartographerCollection15052008-1210816562.zip) and your database (CarographerDatabases10042008-1207858116-b.zip) still no Quest Objectives, if i use my own Cartographer pack with my old database i see the quest objectives but your database is way larger, u know !. I'm doing something wrong ?

Waypoints no longer work since the 2.4.2 patch it shows a waypoint but also gives an error that you cannot clear without clearing the waypoint first.

After downloading this UI update, I received the following error: Interface\AddOnsAce2\Ace-OO-2.0\ACEOO-2.0.lua:734 AceComm-2.0: AceComm-2.0 requires AceEvent-2.0 If you download the ACE2 library and install it, you need to replace the entire ACE set of local libraries under Cartographer. After 20+ years in the computer industry I still find myself asking why why why do programmers (not you Broesel, I know you are just the mod here) continue to use local libraries when globals are available? You are just asking for angry customers. UG! @Altec I am glad that the mod works fo ryou, but attacking yeahyeah is inappropriate. He noted that the pack was outdated - which it is. How does making a statement of truth infer incompetence, arrogance or stupidity? Many of us appreciate packs like this being reposted, but if you have to work through them in order to get them to function (as I and others do) it might just be better to post the updated mods not the entire pack. That way we only have a few files to re-work. For example, according to my UI only 8 of the entire set of Cartographer mods have been updated. This can be a real problem if you are doing extensive re-work AND have an autoupdater running. This is of course compounded by Bliz changing so much of their UI to begin with. @yeahyeah I don't think you will ever see a day when all these mods are up to date. Simply too many of them by too many different people. A huge problem with how Bliz keeps the mods outdated IMO. If you are the type to heavily mod your UI, then you will spend more time keeping mods updated and performing manual tweaks then playing. You have three options. 1. Download the pack, install it and make the tweaks necessary to run with the "Load Outdated" option on - which of course brings a whole butt-load of other problems. 2. Uncheck the outdated option and do without. 3. Keep coming here and asking for help, hoping one day a reasonable person will respond to your post.

Thanks Broesel this version of Cartographer works perfectly, and I don't even have to use Metamap anymore, and still have the co-ordinates, but in the new Cartographer sidelist :) I used to have to use the Metamap sidelist with Cartographer. yeahyaeh if you have a problem with this addon it's YOUR problem, fix them and stop blaming others for your obvious incompetence. Arrogance and stupidity is a dangerous combination.

Whoa, don't take personal offense to my post. I know you think you're doing a good thing and you probably are. My problem is that my game was not working right because I had outdated addons, so I got rid of my outdated addons which included MetaMap a very nice map addon, only to download yours and install it to find another list of outdated addons included in YOUR collection. THAT'S my problem. The fact that I've already been burned by outdated addons.

@yeahyeah Im NOT the autor of these mods! I collect only the addons and give it out to u. All addons works fine with patch 2.41, so i don't understand ur problem.

Is it my imagination or is 90% of this collection "OUT OF DATE"???? I just went thru the trouble of cleaning my addons up, even removing the out of date ones I truely love only to install this mostly out of date collection. Come on, what gives? Did I do something wrong or does this collection NOT belong with the 2.4 updated list????

@Broesel: I always notice that Cartographer_Sidelist is missing a dependency when I check my addons at logging in. So I always uncheck it. Is there a solution to this?

first i need to apologize this is my first mod on wow. and do i just back up all the wow files or is it just one file. and ive sseen on other sites people bitch about being banned. is that for modding or for abuse of the mods and gameplay.

Ignore it, just click "Load out of date mobs" on the mods page. They will all still work regardless. The "Out of date" isn't about your patch, its about the version the mod was made for. Older mods will be marked as out of date but most will still work fine.

FYI.. After all my issues of late some advice given on the Ace forum was to use either Embedded Libs or Global, But not Both together. I notice in your package you have both. So I would suggest to delete Ace2, Ace3, Babble, LibGratuity, and LibRock from the package. As all the Mods in this package have all the Libs embedded in each that they need. Just a suggestion, I personally deleted them all out of my addons folder and everything seems to be running with out the errors.

Update and what I posted on wowace forum.So I disabled Jasonquest and of course got no errors. Then I turned it back on and got the errors in Cartogrpher. Turned Cartographer all off and then got an error with Atlasloot and Bartender3. All about the AceEvent 2.0 ... So I went through and compared the embeded libs with eachother. Atlasloot,Jasonquest and can't think of the other has older embeded Libs. So I took the Bartender embeds and copied them to all the other Ace2 mods I am running. Played for 5 hours with ZERO errros.
