ObsTracker is a Loot Tracking tool for raiding guilds, also usable by anyone who wishes to create a history of in-game trades. Records the name of player and name of item associated with an in-game trade. When recording is complete, user may copy the information to clipboard in order to save to a permanent location. For example, saving to a text file, or inserting into a database through a web form.

To bring up the main window type "/ot" or "/obstracker"

To record an item name and player name associated with a trade, open a trade with a player, and place item in first (top) trade slot, click the "RECORD" button at the bottom of the trade frame, and then click the “Trade” button. When the "RECORD" button is clicked, the player name of your current target, and the name of the item in first (top) trade slot is recorded.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
The data retrieval process carried out when clicking the "RECORD" button works off your CURRENT TARGET and the item in the FIRST (TOP) TRADE SLOT. Therefore, after opening a trade, be sure not to change your target from the person you intend to record (unless you want to record yourself, covered in detail below) until you have successfully recorded the item. If you do, the trade will go through correctly, but the information recorded may be incorrect.

Always verify that your trade is recorded successfully and accurately by reviewing the information displayed in your in-game chat log immediately after clicking the "RECORD" button. If an error is made, you can use the "Delete Last Entry" button located on the main window (accessed by typing "/ot" or "/obstracker") to remove the last successful recorded trade.

Also on the main window, "Undo Last Delete" will retrieve a deleted entry if you click "Delete Last Entry" one too many times. NOTE: You can only retrieve the last deleted entry! So if you delete “Entry 1”, and then delete “Entry 2”, “Entry 1” will not be recoverable, so be careful when deleting an entry.

Recording Self: If you need to record yourself receiving an item, open trade with anybody, place item in top slot, change target to yourself, click record, click trade.

Clicking "Show Current List" on the main window, will open up a new window where you can view the entries recorded to your list. Click the "Select All" button, and copy the text to your clipboard by pressing “Ctrl c”. Once saved to a permanent location, click the "Delete List" button to remove all entries from your in-game list.
